Thank you so much, this been a great journey, thanks for sharing your cool material!
this looks like a climbing gym in Sacramento
Any tips for pancake ? I am not able to bend more than 10/20 degrees
how do you remove the fear of gear failure (quickdraw, harness, belay loop)?
This was awesome! I've been climbing for 6 months and I watch A LOT of technique videos. This REALLY helped me have more understanding. Now I just have to get my body to follow along!
The soundtrack, his voice, the way he does everything make everything seem so easy to be done 😅😅
This is a great video. Thank you so much.
nobody seems to have mentioned it, but great choice of background music. what is it?
Thanks from 🇦🇺
@1:17 advise on Maria, i thought the master was saying 'i told you that even if you get dumped' ....
I have a dream and searching for motivation..can I learn the split at 56? Ty for your video
1:15 form queues 2:25 warmup 20 hand squeezes, 30Sx2 opposing forarm stretch, 5R scapular shrugs on the jugs + biggest hold, 2 pullups on the jugs + 2 on the biggest hold, 10 finger flexes on the largest hold + medium hold
I achieved it by practising all different splits at the same time. Every month I notice that I was making progress. Without any warm ups. Just straight trying. Dunno if you can do it in a month. From my own experience this doesn't seem possible. I needed a lot longer. It also drained my energy like crazy.
"It's not a project if you flash buddy" 🗿 hahaha
throughout this whole video I was having realisations of "I make that exact mistake" which I would not have realised without it. Thank you so much.
Non-musical video which I watch regularly and on a repeat. I am so grateful for it! Thanks!
7:18 dude eating it while you explain lol
Any chance of exercises that can be done at home? For all levels?
Your channel is making a real difference in people's lives. Keep it up!
Great vid. Can you do a vid on how to down climb and how to traverse? Thanks :)
Any recommendations for climbers that are just starting out?
Great teacher :)
Ha, was confused as to why you were teaching opposite of what I’m focused on, but it came down to semantics. Reaching with the hand on the side of the foot supporting is essentially the same, though certainly the different way of looking at it may result in variation of what is assimilated. Cheers, Daniel
Where's the original vid? Anyone got a link?
This prompted a ton of neat observations: 1. Footholds for me are either too difficult, or too easy, without much in between. the "swivel room" rule of thumb for the foot is great, because it gives you a precise target to shoot for on bigger footholds. 2. timing inhales/exhales is a big part of rhythm and flow
dude your phisyque is insane my second time climbing today and i did an easy v6 and alot of people dont believe it on my second time in the gym but i have decent upper body strength and finger strength
Brilliant :)
I can always rely on your videos for applied help, thanks so much, now i gotta do it tho :/
i love how to spotter also has the joint thing
"Great job. You didn't kill yourself in front of your friends." 🤣
THATS MY GYM!🫶🏽🧗🏽
first time climbing today and done a v4 first try its so mad the difference in diffuculty
Stretching the middle splits is hella painful... :")
Love the content!
This is so good..
5:00 casually dropped game references
Very well explained and the video is cinematic. Thanks!
Hangboarding without weight is for everybody and should be done by anyone who wants to improve their climbing, regardless of experience. Finger Injuries from hangboarding are nonexistent. Just avoid climbing on intense crimps on boulders after hangboarding.
I'm not quite sure what my lower body is anymore
Singeing the chest hairs 😂
Thank you for this video. I have found the way of falling especially in the gym to be way scarier for me. Outside it is what it is, until I started falling in gyms which triggered a mental block outdoors as well as indoors. I try not to climb projects and push the envelope and it has hindered my confidence greatly. Whereas before when I first started climbing outside I just would try whatever my friend that I trusted put me on. Maybe it’s a trust issue as well, But I will practice these. Clipping when slack is out and I’m traversed is my worst fear right now.
Is this Vacaville boulders??
I am a very new climber. at 4.26 he talks about climbing with the toe. This seems impossible to me. I don't know if its because I'm a heavy 98kg guy, but it feels like my toes aren't strong enough to support my body weight. They end up bending upwards and I slip off. Should I just only use routes with big footholds? Or try and strengthen my toes somehow?
How did you fasten the board?
That's my gym!!
nah fuck the limit for projects, try hard and send them mfs
That’s an insane dyno man
Hey, I have the same Rocknaisum shirt!
great video , thanks.
I feel like the real challenge is to keep that flow on the boulders you haven't completed yet and therefore don't know the full beta. Might not be a problem for experienced climbers but it definitely is for me.
Yea, I do not like this video. You cannot forcefully learn "flow" you will get there eventually. You just need to climb, climb and climb. Enjoy the process and your body/mind will get to the flow naturally. I was thinking to send this video to my newbie friends. They are struggling with basic moves on easy problems. Flow is the last part they should focus on. Good luck, stay safe and happy climbing.
@@dusankollar602 Well "flow" is definitely not the first technique total beginners should focus on, he has a lot of other videos explaining other more important techniques (so to speak) for beginners/intermediates. But at some point it will become important, it helps you to climb more efficiently, and in some cases sending or not is about efficiency, especially in sport climbing. And I don't think it will come to you naturally if you've never paid attention to it, these things (don't over match, try to cross/ step through, use momentum from previous move for transition) need active practice to really learn it & make them second nature
@@zyxwl2015 Disagree, maybe it is just me and my climbing friends. As you progress as a climber it will get to you naturally because it is more effective and body/mind like effective movement. Similar to evolution in animals. Just do not overthink it and have fun climbing. If you are strong enough and you have technique/confidence you will stop over maching, you will cross/ step through use momentum etc. because it is more energy efficient and your mind/body will remember it.
